为什么人生气时,说话用喊的? Why do people shout instead of talking when they are angry?
One day, a professor asked his students 'Why do we SHOUT instead of speaking when we are ANGRY?'
All the students thought for a while. One answered, 'Because we lost our cool. That's why we SHOUT.'
The professor asked again, 'But the person is just right next to you, why can't we talk softly instead of SHOUTING?'
Almost all gave their opinions but none made the professor satisfy.
Finally the professor explained, 'When we are ANGRY, our hearts drift apart. In order to cover up the DISTANCE, we instinctively SHOUTED instead of speaking so as to make the other party hear us.'
'But as we SHOUTED, we got ANGRIER. And subsequently our hearts drifted further apart. So we had to SHOUT even louder...'
'It is the reverse when we were in love. Not only we didn't shout, we whispered into each other's ears. Why?'
'Because our hearts were very closed to each other, were almost never been apart. As our love deepened, we reached a state of mutual communication when words were not even needed.'
'We had mutual understanding just by exchanging of sight,' concluded the professor.
'Therefore, when we are quarreling, DON'T speak words that will make our hearts drift apart. WAIT for a few days. When you feel that your heart is no longer far apart, communicate nicely from thence..
