'Malaysia is Zimbabwe by another name'
Many people have migrated, they lost confidence in BN. If Malaysia were to continue ruled by such a bad government, what kind of hope can the citizens expect from the leadership? None at all!

Without mincing his words, political analyst Abdul Aziz Bari (pic) likened those who hold the reins of power in Malaysia to a bunch of 'thugs'.
According to him, these individuals do as they please without proper regard for the law of the land and the percepts laid down in the federal constitution.
NONE"We are like Zimbabwe, just with another name!" stressed the law expert.
Zimbabwe under President Robert Mugabe has earned international infamy over it's questionable policies and use of the legal system and laws to prop up the government.
Elaborating, Abdul Aziz said: "I don't know how else to call them, sometimes we need to call a spade, a spade. What we have is a state of lawlessness, it's like the law of the jungle."
He pointed to the recent overturning of the high court decision regarding the Malaysian Anti Corruption Agency's (MACC) right to interrogate beyond office hours as a glaring example.
"It is painful to hear the court of appeal decision. They are using the provision to overrule the high court, saying it is silent on the matter," he told Malaysiakini.
'Judiciary takes its cue from government'
According to the UIA law professor, the court of appeal's recent decision "is a lame decision and in itself a failure to carry out the court's role, namely to fill the gap left by parliament in the statute."
Abdul Aziz is adamant that "the high court decision is to be preferred as it is closer to justice and the spirit of the constitution."
"It is for the court to fill the gap by making a decision that is closer to fairness and justice," he added, though he bemoaned that in Malaysia, "the judiciary takes its cue from the government."
"When you have a judiciary like what we have, what can we do? In normal circumstances you go to court to compel the parties who refuse to do its legal duty to do it. But not in our case," he said.
What is worse, according to Abdul Aziz, Barisan Nasional is "undermining or simply could not care less about the constitution."
"BN has demonstrated complete disregard for the rule of law and supremacy of the constitution, either the letter or the spirit of it," he said.
Abdul Aziz contends that the Reid Commission's original intent was to propagate federalism, this he said permeates through the entirety of the constitution with the express delineation of powers to the state and the federal government.
On a micro scale, he added, this framework of federalism included the issue of the petroleum royalties and funding for states.
Umno warlords stumbling block to change
Abdul Aziz believes that the BN government is clearly going against the constitution when it set up the JPP (Federal Development Department) which is ultra vires of the defined rights of the states.
He explained that the state has rights to certain grants and funding the federal government sans such 'intermediaries'.
The use of the Emergency Ordinance to define territorial waters in the Kelantan oil royalty issue, he said, is another example of the BN government's disregard for the law.
"Why not refer to the Petroleum Act or the Law of The Sea?" he asked.
In a similar vein, he also criticised the federal government's 'play acting' in making much ado when giving assistance and aid during natural disasters to opposition held states,
"Why the furore, it is their duty anyway, as described in the constitution," he said.
According to Abdul Aziz, this rot of lawlessness goes right down to BN's core which is Umno.
He is of the opinion that the Umno warlords cannot be reformed and as long as they exists, Umno cannot be reformed.
"They simply don't want to do it," he said.

Evangelist Oral Roberts dead at 91
It was 1995, I was there at his church. He preached on "Let's go over to the other side". It was the story about Jesus sleeping at a storm (Lk 8:22-25). He demonstrated by sleeping on a pillow. The sermon is still so clear in my mind. That time after his preaching he was also raising fund for church building. Lots of money was pledged. He had the charisma on that. Oral Roberts, I missed you. Rewards are installed for you in Heaven.

CNN | 12/16/2009 10:38 AM
(CNN) -- Evangelist Oral Roberts, founder of the Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association and Oral Roberts University, died Tuesday from complications of pneumonia in Newport Beach, California, his spokeswoman said. He was 91.
Roberts' son, Richard, and daughter Roberta were at his side, spokeswoman Melany Ethridge said in a statement.
Roberts was hospitalized Monday following a fall on Saturday, in which he suffered broken bones, Ethridge said earlier, adding he was being treated for pneumonia.
There will be a private interment, the statement said. Arrangements for a public memorial service in Tulsa, Oklahoma, are pending.
"Oral Roberts was a man of God, and a great friend in ministry," the Rev. Billy Graham said in a statement Tuesday. "I loved him as a brother. We had many quiet conversations over the years."
Granville Oral Roberts was born into poverty in Bebee, Oklahoma, on January 24, 1918, according to a brief biography released by Ethridge. His Christian ministry began with what he described as his own miracle healing of tuberculosis at age 17.
Roberts pastored churches in Oklahoma and Georgia and preached at revivals around the country while studying at Oklahoma Baptist University and Phillips University in Oklahoma, according to the biography.
In 1947, he founded the Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association in Tulsa, "and began conducting crusades across America and around the world, attracting crowds of thousands -- many who were sick and dying and in search of healing," the biography said. "Through the years, he conducted more than 300 crusades on six continents" and "laid hands" on an estimated 2 million people, according to association officials.
In 1954, he brought television cameras into services, providing what he liked to call a "front-row seat to miracles" to viewers, the biography said. He later began a television program, initially called "Oral Roberts Presents." The ministry's daily program, now called "The Place for Miracles," can be seen on more than 100 television stations, multiple cable and satellite networks and the Internet, Ethridge said.
"If God had not in his sovereign will raised up the ministry of Oral Roberts, the entire charismatic movement might not have occurred," said Jack Hayford, president of the California-based International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, in the statement. "Oral shook the landscape with the inescapable reality and practicality of Jesus' whole ministry. His teaching and concepts were foundational to the renewal that swept through the whole church."
Roberts founded the Abundant Life Prayer Group in 1958 "to address the around-the-clock needs of those suffering and requesting prayer," according to the biography. Today, prayer partners at Abundant Life continue to receive calls 24 hours a day. The group has received more than 23 million phone calls for prayer, the biography said.
Oral Roberts University was founded in 1963, built on 500 acres in Tulsa and dedicated four years later by Graham, according to the biography. Graduate schools including medicine, nursing, dentistry, law, education and theology were later added. Roberts served as school president until 1993 but remained a chancellor until his death.
He remained involved in his evangelistic association as much as his health allowed, Ethridge said Monday. His son, Richard Roberts, currently serves as president.
In 1977, Roberts said he had a vision of a 900-foot-tall Jesus, who told him to found the City of Faith Medical and Research Center. The biography said the center was aimed at "merging the healing power of medicine and prayer."
In 1986, Roberts announced that God would "call him home" unless he raised $8 million to send medical missionaries from the center -- an announcement that was widely publicized. He wound up raising $9.1 million, but the center closed in 1989. However, the biography said, it left "a lasting impact on the understanding by many medical professionals of the importance of treating the whole person -- body, mind and spirit."
In addition, Roberts wrote more than 130 books, the biography said. "His book 'The Miracle of Seed Faith' has more than 8 million copies in circulation. This book's key principles -- God is your source, sow your seed out of your need, and expect a miracle harvest -- formed a fundamental part of Roberts' ministry and legacy," the biography said.
Before his death, Roberts said, "After I'm gone, others will have to judge how well I've obeyed God's command not to be an echo but to be a voice like Jesus," the statement said. "As far as my own conviction is concerned, I've tried to be that voice with every fiber of my being, regardless of the cost."
Responding to news of Roberts' death, Graham said Tuesday: "Just three weeks ago, I was privileged to talk to Oral on the telephone. During the short conversation, he said to me that he was near the end of his life's journey. I look forward to the day that I will see Oral and Evelyn Roberts again in heaven -- our eternal home."
Roberts wife, Evelyn, died in 2005 after the couple had been married more than 66 years. Roberts is survived by his son and daughter and their spouses, along with 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, Ethridge said.

Chestnuts Roasting on a Copenhagen Fire
The hearts of men are desperately wicked above all things. The Rich and Mighty ones will have no desire to help the world. They are only interested in ruling the world. So the gathering in Copenhagen is another gimmick by them. Do you know why the One-world Government is able to set up without much hassle? Simply because most heads of different countries are brainless dudes!

Copenhagen is on fire this week, and there's far more heating up than just the climate.
Heads of state and others are gathering this week at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, but bonfires already have been blazing for weeks on that European front.
Let me see whether I can summarize the chestnuts roasting on that Copenhagen fire.
Shocking e-mail exchanges from scientists at an eminent global warming research center in the United Kingdom have proved that key climate change scientists have suppressed evidence in order to "trick" the public or "hide the decline" of global temperatures.
Going Rogue by Sarah Palin FREE
Rather than focus on the audacity of the ClimateGate cover-up, Obama's top science adviser, John Holdren, downplayed the e-mails, informing Congress that the controversy involved a small group of scientists. And others, including Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., blamed the hackers who exposed the e-mails rather than the scientists who deceived the world with false global climate reports.
Similarly, the U.N. was caught recently deleting documents that would disclose how member states are leading (or not leading) the way in self-greening efforts.
The scientific journal Geophysical Research Letters documented that ice melt on Antarctica was the lowest in 30 years during 2008-09, a fact being ignored intentionally by NASA.
A U.S. scholar is threatening to sue NASA in order to prompt the agency to release climate change data, which he says have been manipulated here just like in Britain.
Officials in the Environmental Protection Agency gagged one of their own senior researchers after the 38-year employee submitted an internal critique of the EPA's climate change position.
Unlike the U.S., China and India already have opposed foreign climate governance because it would jeopardize their national sovereignty.
Nearly two months ago, Christopher Monckton, once science adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, warned us that the real purpose of the conference is more about global government than it is about global warming.
In my former column titled "Obama's One-World Government," I detailed more than a dozen actual statements in the proposed summit treaty that threaten our national sovereignty, could severely cripple our already depressed economy and are so globally socialistic that they would make even a communist blush.
Al Gore made statements back in July that change will be driven through "global governance."
The U.N.'s climate chief, Yvo de Boer, reported that between $10 billion and $12 billion annually will be needed from developed countries (e.g., the U.S.) through 2012 to "kick-start" things. According to the World Bank, adapting for global warming (e.g., building larger dams and higher bridges) will cost an additional $75 billion to $100 billion a year over the next 40 years. (A business professor at the University of Cambridge says it could be as high as $300 billion.)
A Japanese energy commission revealed that the majority of Japanese scientists reject U.N.- and Western-backed theories of climate change.
Despite Rep. Ron Paul's call for members of Congress to consider the joint opinion of more than 32,000 U.S. scientists -- including more than 9,000 Ph.D.s -- who believe humans likely have little or no part in the creation of "global warming," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs justified the White House's position and waved away opposition by tritely retorting that most people believe in global warming. A recent survey, however, found Americans' belief in global warming has declined and is at a 12-year low.
With 16,500 delegates descending upon Copenhagen -- including 140 aircraft carrying world leaders, heads of state and VIPs -- the U.N. estimates that the 12-day conference will create 40,584 tons of carbon dioxide equivalents. And could it be merely coincidental that all these planes are amassing at one place Dec. 7, the very anniversary of Pearl Harbor? Or are these all signs that our real enemies are looming on the horizon?
As I consider all of these global warming quandaries, the questions that keep coming to my mind are:
If there's no final draft of a treaty to sign, why is our president "contributing to global warming" by flying that super-jumbo 747 Air Force One to Copenhagen?
Why does Obama want to require American households to pay possibly more than $3,000 in additional annual taxes to reduce greenhouse emissions?
In the midst of one of America's worst recessions, where is the federal government going to get the billions of dollars needed to fulfill the financial promise to assist developing countries with green initiatives outlined on Page 11 of the 181-page climate summit treaty, which says it would ensure "that global crises, such as the financial crisis, should not constitute an obstacle to the provision of financial and technical assistance to developing countries in accordance with the Convention"?
Hasn't the Obama administration charged enough on the nation's credit cards in its first year in power by its trillions of dollars in bailouts, borrowing and additional government programs, including socialized medicine?
How much more will we take? Or should I say, how much more will they take?
Our government would do well to reconsider and actually live and lead by the words of Thomas Jefferson, who said during his first inaugural address, in 1801: "A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."
